CLASSROOM PARTY VOLUNTEERS

Help plan and actively run a party in your child’s classroom! 

Sign Up opens @ 12pm on 9/5 - if link doesn't work please be sure you have renewed your PTO membership or signed up if it's your 1st year

PARTY DATES:

  • Halloween Party – Friday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. 
  • Winter Party – Friday, December 19th at 2:00 p.m.
  • Valentine’s Day Party – Friday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ROOM PARENTS:

  • Must be a current PTO Member

  • Each party will have 4 parent volunteers running the activities

  • Must be willing to submit identification through the Raptor system in the office for each party

  • Room parent slots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. We will start by assigning one party per family to provide the opportunity to as many PTO members that we can. 

  • Only Room Parents on the list for each party will be allowed in the classroom

  • Must follow Party Food Guidelines on page 13 in the school handbook. 
    • All items must be peanut and tree nut free. Any allergies specific to the classroom must also be adhered to.
    • Bottled water or juice along with a maximum of two food treats (at least one health food item should be

      considered).

    • All treats need to be individually prepackaged and factory sealed, with the ingredient label visible on the individual/original packaging (no homemade treats permitted).

A HEAD ROOM PARENT is needed for each classroom. WHAT IS A HEAD ROOM PARENT: 

  • The head room parent serves as the main contact between the classroom teacher and coordinating the party planning with the other parent volunteers. 
  • Head Room Parent does not attend all parties. If desired, they can be selected to attend at least one class party.
  • Head room parents can work with their teacher to send a Sign Up Genius to all the parents in the class to help donate party supplies or financial contributions to help pay for supplies.
  • The Head Room Parent should also be willing to help communicate PTO news to the other parents in the classroom. Helping to serve as a liaison between the PTO and the classroom parents. 

 

Signing up online does not automatically assign you to a party or a head room parent role. You will receive an email confirming which party & any Head Room Parent assignments.
